As you are probably already aware, the banking system in Panama is arguably the strongest banking system in Latin America. And - due the very tight BSA/AML laws in the US, the stability of the Panama Canal and the economic growth in Panama, many international investors are now putting their money in banks located in Panama. Panama City has been one of the world’s banking hubs for decades and appears to be growing stronger every year. This especially due to the thousands of Expats now living in Panama.

There are many banks to choose from, including local banks, US, Canadian, European and other International banks - all with offices in Panama City. This makes the marketplace even more competitive for you and I when we’re interested in a real estate loan for a home in Panama.
